Volvo Huddersfield have serviced my car since new the last three years. Have to say the service is excellent; from booking through to collection the Clive Brook team aim to make it a pleasant experience. The staff are professional and personable and the service crew certainly know their job. I'm sure the car is happier as a result of proper care and attention. Piece of mind for me knowing the car is reliable and not going to let me down. Highly recommended
Great meeting at the Clive Brook Heritage morning meet. Everyone is very friendly and it is good to do some networking . Thanks Craig.
Sat in the reception area for over 10 minutes waiting on staff, despite several staff members walking around and glancing over in our direction.... we left feeling 👎
Very friendly, very helpful staff. Lovely showroom and great vehicles.
I question the quality of the used vehicles -Still unresolved. Updated - 11/03/20 After a great initial sales experience, it quickly became obvious the vehicle was not as it should be. In the early days the rear demister failed (loose wire), the USB interface was faulty. Blue smoke and a burning smell came from the exhaust and the front nearside suspension was cracked. All but the blue smoke were rectified under warranty – however, the cure for the blue smoke issue was “ you should drive quicker”. The vehicle went backwards and forwards for weeks, until I made an official complaint followed by some online video posts – the issue was taken seriously, by the then After-Sales Manager. The vehicle was taken away and numerous components replaced over time – dps, jets and such like – each time the vehicle was returned “fixed”, yet the next time the ignition was fired up, smoke would pour from the car (captured on video each time). This has now hit 2 years of backwards and forwards – the car has been off the road for around 5 months (this is a seldom used vehicle, other than the school run). I have had 2 full services carried out at the dealership (£400+£600) in the interim. The final time I returned the vehicle on the basis of “if its not fixed I don’t want it back” 2 weeks later the vehicle was returned with “Volvo have remotely dialled in and checked it, they said its fine” The car was returned with a selection of bolts rolling around the dash, no fuel and no screen wash. The following day – smoke continued to pour from the exhaust. We then entered the buyback stage – It’s a low mileage, seldom used car, so I was happy to swap like for like - I identify 5 exact on budget models from their stock via email / phone to the After Sales Manager, I get little response as it’s “a busy time of year – it’s year end”. The dealer does make a suggestion, An older, manual V70 in exchange for my newer, Auto V40 – not ideal, but I see it as a way to end this. Little did I understand after a test drive my option now is I can contribute 2.5k (to cover the work they need to do to the vehicle) - plus misc costs) plus my car in exchange for a 10 year old replacement (all be it a V70 not the V40) – I decide that’s not for me. At the time of writing that was several weeks ago, I have emailed the dealership with alternative options and heard nothing else. Shortly after the first vehicle was purchased we bought a second – assuming the first was bad luck and before the issues continued for so long. In a few weeks of ownership – We experience; a faulty USB (all replaced) split radiator (replaced) Gear box failure (glued) Electric tailgate issues (oiled) – parking sensor failure (stripped and cleaned) – electric Window failure (motor replaced after the dealership guaranteed me the window worked at time of sale, and would not replace under warranty. (the vehicle had been in for this issue a few weeks earlier and I had been told it was fixed) when asked for a copy of the pre delivery inspection sheet to prove their claim the window was fixed FOC) – also a faulty rear seatbelt sensor was fixed FOC. Again an issue that was highlighted and not fixed. A separate photo review will follow. I am hugely disappointed, At one stage both cars were in bits in the dealership for over 2 weeks (we had 2 courtesy cars) I have never had a main dealer experience like this, I use main dealers on the basis I expect better for the premium prices charged, certainly the Selekt Volvo branded used vehicle range gives me no confidence – Volvo Head-Office are not interested and leave the details to the dealer – however, they did state the issue is for the dealer to resolve, it’s not a Volvo Head Office problem. Updates to follow on the buy back/ repairs. Oct - no contact Nov - no contact Dec - no contact Jan - a little telephone tennis - no further response Feb - no further response March - no further response April - no further response May - no further response - I have given up .
